The AG241 is a very good piece of kit, unfortunately it comes with a firmware that is failing |
|
| |
|
in many areas. Bored Individual started modifying the firmware on his Australian AG241 and |
|
| |
|
was requested via the Whirlpool forums to compile the latest source for the EU version, |
|
| |
|
This then became extended to include telnet and new ADSL modes plus the fix to display |
|
| |
|
them correctly on the status page. Next came the Dnsmasq stability fix (This rectifies the |
|
| |
|
device stops resolving hostnames and handing out IP addresses) ,also the rc/network and |
|
| |
|
pppd stability fix (This rectifies the device locks up while establishing PPPoA connection) |
|
| |
|
both of these by TSM. Lastly we have the single port forward options edited to add the 'Both' |
|
| |
|
option to protocols available, The DE version of the firmware has also been updated from |
|
| |
|
V2.01.01 to V2.01.03 and had all the fixes Integrated. |

Phoenix is Born, Starting with the base firmware above Bored Individual and myself (Amiga) |
|
| |

have worked on fixing updating and adding to the firmware at times we`ve been working |
|
| |
|
into the small hours scratching our heads at what linksys had done. we have decided that |
|
| |
|
it is now ready for release, so say hello to Phoenix V7.01.03 |
